Curt C. Barwick

Curt C. Barwick is one of the partners of McConnell, Dunning & Barwick LLP.

Prior to joining McConnell, Dunning & Barwick LLP in 1996, Mr. Barwick was General Counsel of DVI Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-listed company. Earlier, he served as a member of the corporate/securities department with the Newport Beach office of Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger and the Los Angeles office of a prominent Southern California firm that was acquired by the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie. Mr. Barwick has served several terms on and is the former Co-Chair of the Corporations Committee and is currently Vice Chair of Legislation of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the California State Bar.

Mr. Barwick was admitted to the California Bar in 1983 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1985.

Education
Mr. Barwick graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976, and from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Master of Arts degree in 1977. He was awarded his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1983.
Memberships
Mr. Barwick is the past Chairman and a current member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Business and Corporate Law and Financial Practice Sections. He also is a member of the American Bar Association (Business and International Law Sections and the Federal and State (“Blue Sky”) Securities and Private Equity – Venture Capital subcommittees).

Mr. Barwick has been a contributing author and/or editor of the following publications of the California State Bar: Guide to California Securities Law Practice (2003); Report on Legal Opinions in Business Transactions (2005); Handbook for Incorporating a Business in California (2006).
